• Preferences: Search filters, notification preferences, and language settings
• Usage Data: Information about how you use our app and which rental listings you view
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and push notification tokens
• Advertising Interaction Data: Anonymised records of impressions, clicks, and dismissals of sponsored content within the app, used for aggregated reporting and ad relevance

• Provide you with rental listing notifications matching your preferences
• Manage your account
• Send you relevant notifications about new rental properties
• Display and deliver relevant sponsored content, including featured listings, in-app advertisements, and promotional push notifications

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Service Providers: Resend (email delivery), Expo (push notification delivery)
• Advertising Partners: We share only aggregated, anonymised performance metrics (e.g. total impressions, click-through rates) with advertising partners. We never share your personal data, email address, or individual browsing behaviour with advertisers
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights

6. Advertising & Your Choices

Rentbee is a free, ad-supported service. Advertising revenue allows us to offer the service at no cost to you. Here is how advertising works and what choices you have:

• Ad Targeting: Sponsored content is targeted based on your existing search preferences (preferred cities, price range) and language settings. We do not build separate advertising profiles or track you across other websites
• Data Used: Only data you have already provided (filter preferences, language) is used to select relevant ads. No additional data is collected for advertising purposes
• Interaction Tracking: We record when sponsored content is displayed (impressions) and when you interact with it (clicks, dismissals). This data is stored in our systems and only shared with partners in aggregated, anonymised form
• Promotional Notifications: Sponsored push notifications are part of the free service. You can manage notification delivery via your device's system settings
• In-App Ads: Featured listings and interstitial ads are displayed within the app. These cannot be individually disabled as they are part of the free service

Legal Basis: The processing of your data for advertising purposes is based on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating a sustainable, free service. For promotional push notifications, the legal basis is soft opt-in under Article 11.1 of the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet), as these notifications relate to the service you have registered for. You may opt out at any time via your device's system settings.
